Quick Match Setup: your own match, without a club fixture
Clubs
Any coach can set up a match in the MRC app without a club fixture: the match details, a 23-player squad with shirt numbers and positions, then record it with the full recorder. Signed in with a coach account, it is kept on your account and syncs to your other devices.
- Open the MRC app and tap Quick Match Setup (or use Quick Match Setup on your dashboard or the MRC app page of the website).
- Step 1, Match: type your team and the opposition. The match name, competition, friendly, date, kick-off time, venue, age group and notes are optional.
- Step 2, Squad: choose a squad template, or fill in the 23 places. Places 1 to 15 start and 16 to 23 are the replacements. Each player has a name (a first name is enough), a shirt number from 1 to 99 and a position. Move players with the arrows or by dragging them.
- The squad is checked as you type. A shirt number used twice must be fixed before the match can start. A position missing or doubled in the starting XV is only a warning.
- Step 3, Start: tap Start now, Save, start later or Save as draft. Then record the match exactly like a club match: scores, cards, injuries, substitutions, set piece, kicks and the full report.
- Save a line-up you use often as a template (First XV, U16, Academy) under Squad templates: the next setup then takes seconds. You can copy, edit and delete templates and keep as many as you like.
- Everything works with no signal. With a coach account the match, its events and its confirmation reach your account when there is signal, so you can open it on another phone, duplicate it for the next match, archive it or delete it.
- Players may be under 18: type a first name or nickname only. Exports and PDF reports show minor-safe names (first name and initial).
