Notifications
FAQs
Messages, requests, invitations and account alerts in one place, with a count on the bell that updates by itself.
- The bell at the top of every page shows how many things are waiting for you: 1 to 9, then 9+. The Messages icon beside it counts your unread conversations. Both update by themselves while the page is open, so you do not need to refresh.
- Press the bell to see the newest. Press one to open it, or press "See all notifications" for the whole list. On a phone the list opens from the bottom of the screen.
- The list shows unread messages, requests for your details and the answers to yours, applications, club staff and squad invitations, team sheets, checked documents, a subscription that is ending, invoices and changes to how you sign in, from the last 90 days. Club Administrators also see their club's new applications and coach requests; staff see how many reports, documents and security alerts are waiting.
- New items are marked New. Opening one marks it read; you can also press "Mark as read", or "Mark all as read". Items that need your answer stay counted until you answer them.
- Use the filters All, Unread and Needs your answer to find what you are looking for.
- While you are signed in, a short pop-up tells you when something new arrives, with a link to open it. You can switch pop-ups off, and switch a sound on, in Account settings under "In-app notifications".
- Notifications are built from your own messages, requests and applications when you look at them. Nothing extra is recorded about you or anybody else, apart from which items you have read, a short note of each change to how you sign in, your pop-up and sound choices, and the browsers you turned notifications on for.
- A new conversation stays unread until you open it yourself: signing in or opening Messages never opens one for you.
- A pop-up never shows what a message says, only who it is from. A notification on your device shows neither: only how many things are new.
