Invite staff, and answer an invitation

Clubs

Invite a coach of the club or an email address; the person invited accepts or declines.

  1. In Staff & roles press Invite staff. Choose the role, then a coach already approved on your coaching staff (administrators and managers pick from the list; team staff invite by email address), or an email address. Tick the permissions — the role's usual set is ticked for you — and choose All teams or the teams the person will cover. Team staff need at least one team. Inviting needs your own email address confirmed.
  2. An invitation to an address is answered the same way whether or not anybody has that address: we never tell you. An adult member with that confirmed address sees it when they sign in, and is emailed; nobody under 18 is ever shown or sent one. If nobody has an account with that address, the address is emailed the invitation with a link to create an account — to accept, they sign up with that same address and confirm it. If they decline, you see it as expired, just like one nobody answered.
  3. Inviting needs the Invite Users permission, and you can give only permissions you hold yourself. Only the club's owner or a Club Administrator can invite Club Administrators and club managers, and is asked to confirm it is them first; a Club Administrator can be invited only while the club is under its limit (see "Club Administrators: permissions, teams and the limit"). Team staff can invite assistants to their own teams, if the club allows it and they have Invite Users; the club's administrators are told.
  4. The person invited opens My club roles (in their sidebar, or the notification), reads what the role allows, ticks that they will keep what they see within the club, and accepts — or declines.
  5. An invitation expires after 14 days. You can withdraw it before it is answered. If the person who sent it leaves the staff, is removed or loses the role that let them send it, the invitations they sent that nobody has answered are withdrawn.
