Correcting a confirmed match

A confirmed match is final, but the club's administrators can correct a mistake in it — a wrong scorer, a missing or extra event, the player of the match, a replacement's minute — with a reason. The statistics follow.

1. Open the match report (Fixtures, or My teams) and choose "Correct this match". Only the club's administrators — the club itself and administrator seats — see it, and only with a passkey or an authenticator app.
2. Pick an event and choose Change player, Change time or Remove, or "Add a missing event" (a try, a kick at goal, a card, a replacement). The player of the match can be changed too. Each change is listed and can be undone.
3. Choose Preview to see the new score and which players' figures change, then "Save correction", say why in one line (8 to 300 characters) and confirm.
4. Nothing is deleted: the changes are added to the match's record with your name, the time and the reason. The score, the fixture's result (when it came from the match), the players' statistics and achievements are worked out again at once.

• A match can be corrected within 60 days of its day, at most 5 times a day and 20 changes at a time — never a match of an archived season.
• The team's staff see every correction; its reason only the club's administrators and managers, for 12 months. Players see only "Corrected by the club on …". Do not include names, health or injury details in the reason.
