Choosing which emails you get

FAQs

Switch off emails about activity — messages, requests, club and squad news. Security and consent emails always arrive.

  1. Open Account settings and find "Email notifications". There is a switch for each kind of email: requests for your details, shared details and withdrawn access, new messages, club staff, and squads. A change is saved straight away.
  2. Or use the link at the bottom of one of those emails. The page asks "Stop these emails?", and only pressing the button switches that one kind of email off. Opening the link changes nothing, and you do not need to sign in.
  3. Sign-in and confirmation codes, security alerts, invoices, notices the law requires, and a parent's or guardian's consent requests are always sent. They cannot be switched off.
  4. An unsubscribe link works for 90 days, and only for the kind of email it came in. Your choices are in your data download and are erased with your account.
  5. A "new message" email is sent at most once every 30 minutes per conversation, so somebody else writing still reaches you; its button opens that conversation.
  • Your inbox may show its own "Unsubscribe" button beside our emails. It does the same: it switches off that one kind of email.
