Temporary players, the Bin and paper consent

Clubs

Records of players who are not on My Rugby Career: only what the club needs, sealed, and erased after 12 months.

  1. In Squads press Add a temporary player (inside a squad), or New temporary player. Only a first name is required. Team staff add them to a squad of their own teams.
  2. Date of birth, email, phone, emergency contact and notes are sealed: they are never in any list, and lists show only U18 (or nothing) — never an age worked out from them. Press Contact details to open them — each opening is recorded in the club's activity log and our access log. Without a date or year of birth, the player counts as under 18.
  3. Club Administrators and club managers can delete a record: it goes to the Bin for 30 days, where they can restore it, and is then erased. Any record is erased 12 months after its last squad place; its places stay in the history as "Former player".
  4. If the player joins My Rugby Career, press Link to a member. They decide in My teams: if they accept, the record's places become theirs, with their history, and the club's copy of their details is deleted. Nothing is linked without their yes.
  5. Paper consent (Club Administrators only): for a temporary player under 18 whose parent or guardian signed a consent the club holds on paper, record it so their full name may be published. You describe what the club holds, confirm it, and confirm it is you. It lasts until the end of the latest open season and can be withdrawn at any time.
  • Keep only what the club needs. A temporary record is the club's responsibility: we store it, but do not check it.
