About My Rugby Career

My Rugby Career is an integrated rugby ecosystem: one secure, cloud-based platform where players, coaches and clubs develop, perform, connect and organise. Coaches and clubs record live match statistics on the sideline with the MRC app, which works offline and installs on a phone. Players build a performance history across matches and seasons. Clubs run their teams, fixtures, match-day squads and staff, and list the roles they need filling.

  • Match intelligence: live sideline recording, match reports and season statistics.
  • Player development: a performance history from every recorded match, by season and career.
  • Coaching: coach profiles, verified qualifications, teams and match-day selection.
  • Recruitment: vacancies, applications and contact by approval only.
  • Communication: private messaging and email notifications.
  • Club management: teams, seasons, fixtures, staff roles and permissions, and a club activity log.
  • Security and privacy: passkeys, authenticator apps, and privacy enforced by the database itself.

Players and coaches appear under a display name they choose. A member's real name and contact details stay private until they approve a particular club or coach, and every approval can be withdrawn.

Clubs are organisations: their name, town, league and open vacancies are public.

Step by step

Players

  1. Create a profile — Choose a display name: it is what everyone sees, and it cannot be your real name. Joining is free for players. If your country’s law requires it at your age, a parent or guardian is asked to agree before your profile goes live.
  2. Complete your personal information — Add your real name, town, club and contact details. They are stored but hidden: only the coaches and clubs you approve ever see them.
  3. Add playing positions and capabilities — Primary and secondary position, height, weight, playing standard, skills and availability: what clubs search on. Positions and skills are public, and from 18 your height and weight too. Your playing standard and availability are shown only to the clubs and coaches you approve.
  4. Upload profile photos and videos — Add a picture, a cover and up to five photos, framed in the picture editor, and a link to your match video. A player’s pictures and video are private: approved clubs and coaches see them, everyone else sees a drawn shirt.
  5. Add rugby history and achievements — List the clubs you played for and what you achieved. Your history stays private until you approve someone.
  6. Search for clubs and coaches — Browse clubs, coaches and open vacancies, filter by country, region and level, and save the searches you repeat.
  7. Connect with recruiters — Message clubs and coaches, apply to adverts and answer requests. When someone asks for your details you approve, decline or ignore it — and you can withdraw later.
  8. Increase profile visibility — Your own profile shows how complete it is and what to add next. Keep it shown, keep your availability current, and use “View as a visitor” to check what the public sees.

Coaches

  1. Create a coaching profile — Choose Coach and a display name. If a subscription applies to coach profiles, the join page shows the price before you start.
  2. Add qualifications and certifications — Upload certificates (PDF, JPEG or PNG, up to 5 MB). Our team checks each one with the issuer, and then a Verified tick appears next to it.
  3. Showcase coaching experience — Your role, specialism, badge, years coaching and coaching history — private until you approve a club, unless you choose to show your club and availability to everyone.
  4. Upload photos and media — An adult coach’s pictures are public. Add a picture, a cover and photos, frame them in the picture editor, and add a video link.
  5. Search for players and clubs — Filter players by position, age and country, and browse clubs. You see public profiles until a player approves you; level and availability filters find only the players who approved you.
  6. Connect with clubs — Message a club, apply to a coaching advert, or ask to join its coaching staff from its page. The club decides.
  7. Advertise availability — Set your availability — available now, open to offers, from a date, or not looking — and choose whether it is shown to everyone.
  8. Build a professional coaching network — Ask for details with a note that says who you are and why. Everyone who approves you appears under My connections.

Clubs

  1. Create a club profile — A club’s name and town are public — it is an organisation. The person who answers its email stays private until you approve someone.
  2. Add club information and branding — League, standard, founding year, teams, members and colours. Upload your crest and a cover image and frame them in the picture editor.
  3. Showcase facilities and club culture — List your facilities, honours and history, write about the club in your bio, and add photos.
  4. Search for players and coaches — Filter players by position, level, age and country, and coaches by specialism. Names and contact details stay hidden until a member approves you.
  5. Post recruitment opportunities — In the club portal, write adverts for players or coaches. Save a draft, publish it or close it; published adverts appear on your club page and in Vacancies.
  6. Contact suitable candidates — Message a player or coach and ask for their details with a note saying who you are and why. Nothing is shared until they approve.
  7. Manage recruitment activity — Move applications through New, Reviewing, Shortlisted, Declined or Accepted, keep private notes, and approve coaches who ask to join your staff.
  8. Build long-term talent pipelines — Save the searches you run every season, set up to six teams with their coaches, and keep conversations with the players you meet.
